In its first year of participation in Decanter's competition, the CENTENARIE 2016 - Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG wins a gold medal.
A gold medal worth 95 points to tell about our Amarone 2016, a symbol of an excellent fresh vintage that managed to express the full potential of Tenuta Villa Bellini's "brolo." “Lovely nose displaying subtle scents of fresh flowers, red cherry, raspberries, hints of sweet vanilla and a slightly peppery character. The palate is ripe, with velvety tannins.”

Our own Amarone, an agile wine of true profundity. A wide range of aromas layered intriguingly over one another before opening out and changing with every sip. A satisfying, timeless wine with a dry, clean, and persistent finale. The key element of this wine is time. The resting time of grapes before the crushing, the fermentation time, influenced by the cold winter temperatures, and the fining time in the cellar. Without good timing, there cannot be a great Amarone. The Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes during the drying go through deep changes that come out later through a very broad range of flavors: blackberry, cherry, sour cherry, and plum, as well as tobacco, cocoa, pepper, and cinnamon. The taste can immediately sense this wine's richness, generosity, and depth.
